I read a story that disturbed me, of a girl in Normandy over half a century ago, who was found standing in her bare feet at

the lapping of the sea; and sang a song which ended every verse with “O’ Lord let something remain.” With a lifted head,

facing the reaching waters. It doesn’t matter. I also woke this morning with a hate of beetles scrambling in my chest,

infesting what is left of my betweens. Embodying new measurements, and to the drumming of the train; true in my

hesitation and easy ability to be distracted, I could feel hate flocking in to raid my open spaces. Surprised I had open spaces,

left.

O dear god, i forgot what i was saying. It’s because this is public, so I call whomever “love”, and am deeply sorry for the

futile lack of him I ever had. Or maybe I shouldn’t apologize. I told the truth. I believe the mind is no great thing. I believe

the mind doesn’t know. I believe they will come to the conclusion that these cruel riddles are only fair. No matter if my new

place is no place at all. The riddle makes a room. In it you did not lift a finger, you did not hit back or even swing to try to

reach/ what happened. I should blind you for this Why is everyone so in love with the grass? It is winter now

and if you are not afraid

Happy King Day

He was assasinated 40 years ago. That was the year I was born. 1968. I’ll be 41 this year. Happy King Day.
Check out this old BBC newsreel of an interview with Dr. Martin Luther King as he responds to a question about when he predicts the first “negro” president will be elected. Click on the link above. It’s a World News video I couldn’t post here…sorry.

Here we go!!

Ahh nEWyear

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): While loitering on a sidewalk outside a
nightclub in San Francisco on a September night back in 1994, I found the
cover of a booklet lying in the gutter. Written by Marilena Silbey and Paul
Ramana Das, it was called “How To Survive Passionate Intimacy with a
Dreamy Partner While Making a Fortune on the Path to Enlightenment.”
Unfortunately, the rest of the text was missing. Over the years, I’ve tried
to hunt down a copy of the whole thing, hungry for its wisdom, but have
never had any success. I’m hoping that maybe you will consider writing
your own version of the subject in the coming year, Aquarius. With the
luck I expect you to have, you might actually be up to the task.

Hey Jude!

What about those poets/artists who argue that there is no pattern, or that if there is one it’s only purpose is to be destroyed. That we as artists / writers / whatever creativists / shouldn’t go out of our way or waste precious angst to follow a pattern or try to contribute to a pattern once we recognize one /  that in fact we should, once we recognize the pattern, deliberately break it. Try to destroy it. Wit it away. Wit it right off any of the nearest cliffs that may or may not actually be there (which, we who would break whatever flows naturally, would notice, due to our superior sense of the unfortunate position of absent objects). This all made me think. ‘hey, wait a minute, these guys are nihilists! They want to wit the world to death.’

Ok, no that’s not it entirely. Yes, maybe several folks I know and have read have vehemently argued that there is no such thing (as in a created thing, which includes any artificial product born of organic activity) that may be considered authentic, or real, or good or bad or true. While superficially this is a correct statement; it is a correct satement (superficially AND scientifically  AND theoretically speaking)–it is also true that it isn’t true whatsoever.

Mainly because “whatsoever” is basically 13th Century styled “whatever”; and so what ever is so is so. Which means it is so that whatever is created is real and authentic, good AND bad and always true. In other words, there is no such thing as any artificial created entity which is NOT authentic. Wait, now, where am I going with this?

Yes, I did flunk the logic portion of the test, but that does not mean I do not understand what I am saying (and doing here).

What’s that? Truth is in the mind of the beholder?

The point I am about to make is cowardly. It should be more deliberately directed if I would make it potent. NO!

time for a bible verse and a clever picture:

Philippians 4:8(KJV) – “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Sci-Fi Ha Ha
